What are the signs my foundation is bowing?

Common signs of a bowing foundation wall are-

  • Horizontal Cracks in the foundation wall
  • Bulges or large cracks
  • Leaning or inward movement

Bowed Wall Repair Solutions

Fixing a bowed foundation wall consists of bracing or straightening the foundation wall. If the wall has pushed in less than 4” we can brace a foundation wall without the need to dig and push the wall back out. If a foundation wall has pushed in more than 4” we need to excavate and straighten the foundation wall back to its original position.

Bracing the foundation wall consists of using I-Beams or deadman anchors depending on the type of foundation.
